How TCC Cuts Downtime on Delivery Services and Saves Over $108K USD Annually
Mississauga, CANADA – May 18, 2023 – With more than 36,000 deliveries daily, Transportadora Comercial Colombia S.A. (TCC) needed to optimize its processes and avoid downtime, which could affect their customer’s experiences and generate delays on the express parcel services they provide to international cargo, national land and air cargo transport. SOTI’s last T&L report, “Mobilizing the Delivery Workforce: State of Mobility in Transportation and Logistics" found that, on average, organizations lose three hours per employee each work week dealing with technical or system difficulties (device downtime), with a global average of 14 hours lost per employee, per month.
TCC previously managed each device manually and had no ability to remotely update or repair them, which increased downtime and made it challenging to locate and track active devices.
“When devices failed, they had to be repaired onsite. This was challenging for our staff who were unable to locate or track active devices, as they kept switching locations due to the nature of our business. We always pride ourselves on the quality of our services and, as we kept growing, we knew that it was time to provide the staff with world class tools that would allow them to deliver the quality service TCC customers expect,” said Francisco Zahir Martinez Tobon, IT Manager at TCC.
TCC was challenged with finding devices that fulfilled each department’s unique needs and could be managed from one console without having to utilize multiple Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) systems. They found the solution in SOTI MobiControl, which allows organizations to remotely connect, manage, update and repair smartphones, tablets and wearables, among other technologies.
“Prior to an EMM solution, in order to resolve device issues or provide software updates, TCC had to physically connect a cable to each device. In the long-run, this can become a major challenge as drivers are constantly on the road and far away from the IT staff to solve any device issues. With SOTI MobiControl, TCC is able to improve its business operations remotely. We are happy to provide TCC the right tools to avoid future issues and device downtime,” said Michell Escutia, Director of Sales, LATAM at SOTI.
SOTI’s technology allows the company to easily configure and successfully manage its distribution points while keeping data secure and providing a seamless experience for its customers. As a result, TCC has expanded its fleet of devices and has saved 400 working hours each month and over $108K USD annually.
